Lifestyle intervention leads to reduced medication in new type 2 diabetes study

A Dutch lifestyle intervention has helped people with type 2 diabetes reduce their medication doses over a six-month period. Compared to before the study, average HbA1c levels dropped by 5 mmol/mol (0.4%) and the number of participants whose HbA1c was below 53 mmol/mol (7%) increased from 36% to 60%.
